We are looking for an experienced cultural professional to join us on a time-limited project running through the end of 2026. You will be the operational and creative backbone of an international exhibition project - coordinating the process from early-stage planning through to opening night and post-event evaluation.

The role includes a 7-week working period based in Berlin, where you will coordinate directly with gallery partners and local stakeholders on the ground. Outside of Berlin, you will work remotely in close collaboration with our core team.

Format:  Project-based freelance

Start:  ASAP

End:  December 2026

What you’ll do

Exhibition management

  • Lead all phases of the exhibition lifecycle - from concept development, to implementation, opening, and post-event review.

  • Keep projects on schedule while maintaining quality and team coordination.

Stakeholder relations

  • Serve as the communication bridge between our team, the gallery, local partners, government bodies, and sponsors.

  • Navigate different institutional contexts and keep everyone aligned.

Financial oversight

  • Manage the project budget with transparency - tracking expenditure, coordinating sponsorships, and flagging risks early.

  • Able to combine financial oversight with strategic thinking.

Who you are

Education & experience

  • University degree in cultural management, art history, curatorial studies, or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a cultural or curatorial environment (for example, galleries, biennales, festivals, CAMP, or similar institutions).

Skills & languages

  • Fluent in English (essential). German, Czech, or Slovak is a meaningful advantage in this project context.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and event-planning skills.

Personal qualities

  • Self-driven and resilient - you work independently  and keep your composure under pressure.

  • Flexible and adaptable when plans shift - because in live cultural projects, they often do.

  • Available and willing to be based in Berlin for 7 weeks as part of the project.

This is a hands-on role. You'll need to feel equally comfortable in a production meeting, a conversation with a ministry, and a late-night exhibition install.

 What we offer:

  • Project based collaboration (freelance) with a competitive financial compensation

  • Accomodation in Berlin for 7-week exhibition period

  • Skilled PR and Back office team to support you

  • A genuine creative role - you'll shape the public programme, guest speakers, and live events alongside the studio team.

  • A great opportunity to be part of an exhibition that brings together ongoing research, public programme, and daily studio activity in the heart of Berlin.
