Introducing Gilberto L. Rodriguez

Gilberto L. Rodriguez (BArch, MAUD),

principal of Monterrey based firm GLR arquitectos, completed his bachelor of architecture at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). He holds a degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design.

Highly committed to enhance the architectural quality of his city and his country, his firm has been recognized with over twenty national design awards for their work.

His first built project, the Elizondo House, obtained a mention of honor at the National Biennial of Mexican Architecture on 1994.

GLR arquitectos has been serving mainly the high-end residential market as well as the residential and mixed use buildings market. They have done several building types, such as office buildings, industrial and commercial buildings.

Gilberto collaborated in Barcelona with architect Alfredo Arribas during 1990 and 1991. He has lectured in several universities around Mexico and has been a design critic at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey as well as at the Universidad de Monterrey.
